The Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) plays a key role in supporting consultants on large and strategic leads while overseeing and guiding the Business Development team to ensure timely delivery of outputs and proposals.
The SBDM is responsible for developing sales strategies, meeting prospective clients alongside consultants, setting clear action plans, and driving new business growth within the health insurance segment. The role includes presenting and promoting health insurance products, negotiating terms and pricing with insurers, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support consultants on large and strategic leads by providing sales, technical, and strategic guidance.
- Monitor the BD team to ensure deliverables and proposals are prepared accurately and submitted on time.
- Assist in developing business development strategies and action plans for key prospects.
- Conduct comprehensive client needs analysis to recommend suitable health insurance solutions for large corporate clients.
- Present and promote health insurance products to prospective clients in a professional and consultative manner.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with insurers to secure competitive and effective deals.
- Present alternative solutions and discuss specific client requirements to tailor offerings accordingly.
- Maintain and track the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Prepare and submit weekly pipeline and performance reports.
- Ensure all sales and business development activities comply with regulatory and company requirements.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory)
Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in Health Insurance
- Preferably within the UAE market
- Experience working with brokers is highly desirable
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- PowerPoint presentation skills
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
