Overview: The Senior Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building an early-stage pipeline, and shaping market entry and growth strategies. This role plays a key part in expanding the organization's footprint by analyzing market dynamics, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting the conversion of opportunities into qualified leads. The position requires a proactive, commercially driven professional with strong market insight and relationship-building capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including industries, segments, and geographic expansion areas
- Build and manage an early-stage opportunity pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to inform business development strategies
- Define and execute market entry strategies, including go-to-market approaches and positioning
- Establish and develop strategic partnerships, alliances, and ecosystem relationships to support growth
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and identify potential opportunities
- Collaborate with sales, presales, and marketing teams to transition opportunities into active pursuits
- Support the development of business cases, value propositions, and initial solution positioning
- Track market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to refine strategies
- Maintain CRM systems with accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and activity tracking

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
- 4-8 years of experience in business development, sales, market research, or related roles
- Proven experience in identifying and developing new business opportunities and partnerships
- Exposure to industries such as technology, consulting, digital solutions, or system integration is preferred
