Job Description

Role: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Contract Duration: ASAP – 9/30/2026

Location: Remote/Homebased

Rate: $70.20/hour W2


Position Summary:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for defining, analyzing, and synthesizing software application requirements and data to ensure cohesive software application and system designs in the IT ecosystem. This role supports the Enterprise Actions ADS project and is critical for maintaining project timelines and data integrity across systems. The analyst will partner with business partners, product owners, and product managers to identify external client software needs and assist with technical information required.


Key Responsibilities:

Systems Analysis & Integration

  • Lead end-to-end analysis of business and system requirements for enterprise systems.
  • Evaluate existing systems and integrations for inefficiencies and modernization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and third-party implementers to design and implement system enhancements.
  • Develop detailed system specifications, data mappings, and workflow diagrams for current and future state processes.

Enterprise Architecture & Software Design

  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to develop cohesive system views.
  • Guide development teams in implementing technical capabilities aligned with architectural designs.
  • Define and review shared enterprise data and its relationships.
  • Occasionally provide input on low-impact changes in absence of a solution architect.

System Requirements & Workflow Management

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of system requirements using UML and other modeling tools.
  • Document interfaces between new and legacy systems.
  • Ensure regulatory and security compliance in technical solutions.
  • Diagram business processes and enterprise models using Visio, Power Designer.
  • Analyze and depict structures of systems using behavioral and structural UML diagrams.

Data Governance & Integration

  • Support implementation of data quality frameworks, MDM, and metadata management.
  • Analyze and define data requirements and architecture models.
  • Perform data profiling and statistical analysis to uncover anomalies.
  • Map and trace data across systems to solve business/system problems.
  • Build and support test data for various testing phases.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as liaison between business units, IT, and data governance teams.
  • Promote a data-driven culture and analytical excellence.
  • Communicate technical concepts in business-relevant terms.
  • Collaborate with analysts and data professionals to foster analytical excellence.

Performance Expectations:

  • Ensure system solutions and integrations align with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
  • Deliver scalable, sustainable solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that is clear, version-controlled, and auditable.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Support data integrity and accessibility across business units.
  • Promote informed decision-making through data advocacy.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of:

  • Enterprise frameworks, systems integration, software development and testing methodologies.
  • Software Designs, Architecture, SQL, Object Oriented Design, UML/BPMN, Agile, SDLC, RDBMS, Oracle SQL, MS SQL, Data Mapping, Data Analysis, Business Process Management, and more.

Ability to:

  • Acquire enterprise-wide view of business and IT strategy.
  • Act as liaison between business and IT.
  • Influence decisions and define requirements using OOAD principles.
  • Write SQL statements and conduct data/integration analysis.
  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of technical and business experience including business analysis in regulated environments.
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile transformation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CBAP or CCBA certification.
  • Experience with Power Designer, BPMN tools, Atlassian Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technical standards (HL7, FHIR).
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations.
