The Indirect Purchasing Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing activities supporting Engineering Services. The purchasing responsibilities include supplier negotiations, sourcing on time and to target, driving cost savings activities and development and implementation of global commodity strategies. Lead the resolution and negotiation of commercial issues. The selected candidate will interact with many cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Finance, and Legal.
For the Engineering Services commodity group, under the control of the purchasing manager, the Engineering Senior Buyer will contribute to:
Analyzing industry and its demand trends, develop and implement sourcing strategies including researching and identifying prospective suppliers
Negotiating legal agreements & issuing orders/contracts
Lead the supplier relationship
Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Exposure to prevailing market competitiveness, for manpower, people sourcing and related engineering domains specific to software development
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or equivalent from an AACSB accredited program; Other technical degrees with business background also considered
A minimum 8 years of relevant purchasing experience or other disciplines that require significant negotiation/exposure to sourcing processes
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
Strong communication, presentation and commodity leadership skills
Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
Ability to support all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and key internal stakeholders
Must be skilled at relationship building, cost analysis, negotiation (both internal and external), benchmarking, time management and presentations to all levels of management
Strong use of MS Office Suite/G Suite
