Senior Buyer - Windows & Doors

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to lead the procurement of windows, doors, and related building products. This role plays a critical part in supplier strategy, cost control, and supply chain reliability, supporting high-volume and custom-order projects.

The ideal candidate brings deep purchasing experience within construction or building materials, strong vendor relationships, and the ability to drive process improvements and cost efficiencies with their attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing strategy for windows, doors, and related materials
• Manage and optimize supplier relationships & sourcing materials that fit contract budgetting
• Understanding measurements and building standards to build custom window and door orders
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, quality, and on-time delivery metrics
• Resolve escalated vendor issues including shortages, damages, and production delays
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and alternative sourcing strategies
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior buyers or purchasing staff
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, margin improvement, and supply chain planning

Qualifications

• 7+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in windows, doors, millwork, or building materials
• Strong understanding of manufacturing lead times, logistics, and freight management
• Experience with CRM systems, procurement software, and advanced reporting
• Analytical mindset with strong forecasting and cost-analysis skills
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
