Senior Civil Designer

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Designer for one of our clients in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates as part of our Civil Engineering team within Oil, Gas & New Energies business. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based full time at our office in Abu Dhabi Engineering Center team.

The Role

The Senior Civil & Structural Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality civil and structural design and drafting deliverables for EPCM projects, from concept through detailed design and construction support. The role requires strong technical expertise, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications

Expected :

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor's degree preferred).

Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in civil and structural design within EPCM / EPC / consultancy environments.
• Proven experience on industrial, oil & gas, power, infrastructure, or mining projects (as applicable).

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D modeling platform.
• Solid understanding of : Concrete and steel detailing Foundations and earthworks Industrial structures and buildings
• Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations and specifications.

Soft Skills

• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Leadership and mentoring capability.
