About the Role / Role Overview

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising and managing civil engineering activities on-site for a government airport project. This role involves ensuring high-quality construction execution, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining adherence to project timelines and standards over a 36-month contract duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all civil works on-site in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, engineers, and project managers throughout project phases.
• Review civil engineering plans, reports, and technical documentation.
• Ensure timely execution of work packages and resolve site-related engineering issues.
• Utilize civil engineering tools and software, including AutoCAD and structural design applications.
• Prepare regular progress reports and support project decision-making processes.

Requirements

Education / Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized and accredited university.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of solid experience in mega projects (with attested certificates).
• At least 4 years as a Senior Civil Engineer in government airport projects within the GCC.

• Good background in structural design software and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
