Job Purpose
Coordinate the technical design, execution, and inspection of civil works associated with Piping (Plant) & Pipeline construction projects, review technical deliverables, and provide guidance and support to civil engineers. Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements while contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality civil construction activities across the pipeline route and related facilities.
Job Duties
Civil Engineering Activities

Contribute to the development of civil engineering requirements for piping (Plant) & pipeline construction, including ROW preparation, earthworks, trenching, grading, and backfilling.

Coordinate and review feasibility studies, geotechnical evaluations, environmental considerations, and civil risk assessments for pipeline routes.

Coordinate the civil design of foundations, supports, equipment pads, valve station structures, scrapper/launcher pads, and concrete works under the direction of the Construction Manager/ Project Manager.

Prepare and review engineering drawings, civil plans, construction details, technical specifications, and related documentation.

Support construction teams by clarifying civil design requirements and addressing engineering queries during excavation, concrete placement, compaction, and structural works.

Participate in inspections, material testing, and quality verification activities (soil testing, compaction, concrete strength tests) to ensure adherence to civil engineering standards.

Review drainage solutions, erosion control measures, and water management strategies along the pipeline ROW.

Support in civil integrity assessments and contribute to recommendations for repairs, modifications, or reinforcement works.

Lead on the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for civil structures and earthworks associated with pipeline facilities.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Pipeline, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, QA/QC, Procurement, Operations) to resolve civil-related technical issues and ensure seamless project execution.

Participate in technical bid evaluations, vendor/subcontractor reviews, and civil engineering workshops (constructability reviews, HAZID).

Stay updated with industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to pipeline design, construction, and maintenance.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

Minimum of 8–10 years of civil engineering experience in Oil & Gas projects, with strong exposure to piping (Plant) & pipeline construction.

In-Depth Knowledge of Civil Design Codes, Standards, and Regulations.

Proficiency in Civil Design Software and Engineering Tools.

Strong understanding of earthworks, concrete structures, foundations, soil behaviour, and site development principles.

Ability To Interpret Engineering Drawings, topographic surveys, civil plans, and construction specifications.
