Senior Civil Engineer - Engineering

Role Purpose : The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and management of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions that enhance infrastructure and community development. The Senior Civil Engineer also provides mentorship to junior engineers and oversees project execution from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

Project Design and Development

• Lead the design of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and modeling to support design decisions.

Project Management

• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure timely delivery and adherence to costs.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and evaluations to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Team Leadership and Mentorship

• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
• Foster a collaborative team environment to encourage innovation and knowledge sharing.

Research and Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
• Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions and sustainable practices.

Qualifications

• Education and Certification Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering license (PE) is required.

• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS).
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
