Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with 15+ years of experience in engineering consultancy specializing in high-rise buildings and complex structural projects. The candidate will be responsible for design leadership, project delivery, multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring compliance with international design standards and local authority regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering design for high-rise, mixed-use, and complex building projects
• Manage full project lifecycle: concept design, schematic design, detailed design, and construction support
• Perform and review structural analysis, design calculations, and engineering reports
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and construction teams
• Ensure compliance with international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes) and local authority approvals
• Utilize structural design software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000
• Support BIM coordination using Revit and related tools
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and QA/QC oversight
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagement
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and RFIs
• Conduct site inspections and provide construction-phase engineering support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 15+ years of experience in engineering consultancy firms
• Proven track record in high-rise and complex building design
• Strong expertise in structural engineering principles and analysis
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and AutoCAD
• Experience with BIM (Revit)
• Strong knowledge of ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and local authority regulations
• Professional certification (PE, CEng, or equivalent) preferred
