Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with over 10 years of consultancy experience specializing in high-rise tower projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, design review, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. This role requires deep knowledge of international design codes, authority approvals, and consultancy practices to ensure the safe, sustainable, and cost-effective design of high-rise developments.

Key Responsibilities:Design & Consultancy Duties:

• Lead and review the structural design of high-rise towers, including foundations, superstructures, and special structural systems.
• Prepare, check, and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct independent design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and building codes.
• Provide technical guidance and value engineering to optimize structural efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals from contractors.
• Coordinate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
• Attend design coordination meetings and provide consultancy expertise to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure all designs comply with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Abu Dhabi Municipality, etc.) and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocode, UBC, IBC).
• Supervise design documentation, reports, and ensure QA/QC processes are followed.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the consultancy team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of consultancy experience, with a strong portfolio of high-rise tower projects (30+ floors preferred).
• Proven expertise in structural design and design review of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Strong command of design software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Revit Structure, AutoCAD.
• Deep knowledge of geotechnical and foundation engineering for high-rise developments.
• Strong understanding of UAE authority submission and approval processes.
• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer certification (CEng, PE, PMP, or equivalent) is an advantage.
