Job Title : Senior Civil QA/QC Engineer

Job Description :

1. Executes specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction / installation activities on site.
2. Study All structural Drawings and plan inspections in accordance with the execution of works.
3. Checks Schedules reinforcement and ensure material availability and Compliance.
4. Verifies mix designs for Concrete and Asphalt
5. Requests frequent verification of Atterberg limits for Earthworks.
6. Performs punch-listing (snag lists) for all Civil, Structural works.
7. Performs visual inspections, dimensional tests, fire-proof checks and insulation rating requirements.
8. Ensure that the Civil and or Structural Materials are compliant to the Specification. · Performs frequent Concrete and Asphalt Batch plant Audits.
9. Studies Drawings and verifies the schedules of materials are in accordance with the specified / approved as per MIR.
10. Attends / Witnesses special testing of materials related to: Demolition work, Earthwork, Concrete, Steel Reinforcement, Steelworks, CMU’s, Infrastructural Works, Metal Works.
11. Advise the Project QA/QC Manager on any non-conforming work or non-complying material by proposing appropriately documented Proactive notification Reports and NCRs.
12. Assist the Project QA/QC Manager for the implementation of all actions raised during internal audits.
13. Assist the Project QA/QC Manager in ensuring that all personnel have access to pertinent issues of QMS Documentation as appropriate.
14. Ensure all QA/QC documentation is prepared, approved, and issued as required by Document and Data Control procedure and that all submittals are uploaded as per the EDMS used in the project.
15. Ensure all QA/QC records are maintained as per procedure in Document and Data Control.
16. Inform respective Supervisors / QC Inspectors with regards to QMS issues relating to the Project.
17. Assist the Project QA/QC Manager with the correct issue and closing of all non-conformance and corrective action reports relating to the Project.
18. Similarly for any issues arising from the Management Review and lessons learned procedures.
19. Inform the Project QA/QC Manager with regards to QMS issues relating to the Project.
20. Provides support to all Inspectors under his supervision.
21. Provides continuous feedback to the Project QA/QC Manager in cases where planned inspections are rejected.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in quality assurance (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer - CQE) are a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards related to quality management and mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years and/or overall, 10 years experience in QA/QC within the construction or engineering industry, specifically in Civil systems.
• Strong understanding of ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001, and other relevant quality management systems.
• Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with intermediate proficiency in Arabic.
