As a dynamic and growing specialty auto insurance company, we are looking to expand into new markets across the country. • Analyze and interpret policy language, statutes, case law, and regulatory guidance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Identify potential coverage issues and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Advise claims professionals on exposure, resolution strategies and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate extra-contractual liability.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and provide litigation support.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and guidance documents for claims staff.
  • Monitor emerging legal issues and legislative changes impacting auto insurance.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews related to claims handling and coverage determinations.

  • Strong working knowledge of non-standard auto insurance and related bodily injury/material damage claims.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working as Senior Claims Counsel at a personal lines auto insurance company.
  • Demonstrated expertise in California, Arizona, and Texas insurance law.
  • Prior experience advising on extra-contractual claims and bad faith litigation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in the auto insurance industry.
  • Collaborative mindset with an initiative-taking approach to problem-solving.
