About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Client Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting Solutions team in Lahore.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in outsourced/client accounting who can independently manage client accounts, oversee month-end close processes, maintain financial accuracy, and support audit and compliance requirements.


You will work closely with internal Client Controllers and US-based team members while serving nonprofit clients across the US. This is a hands-on accounting role requiring strong ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment.


Important: A background in outsourced/client accounting is mandatory for this role.


Work Schedule (Important Requirement)

This role currently follows a split-shift structure to support collaboration with our US-based teams and clients and to maintain overlap during core business hours.


Current working schedule:

Monday & Friday:

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PKT

Tuesday to Thursday (Split Shift):

Day Shift: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM PKT

Night Shift: 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM PKT


This schedule is designed to ensure a minimum overlap with US working hours for client meetings, team coordination, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end close process for assigned client engagements, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Maintain and review general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
  • Monitor restricted funds, grants, and donor allocations to ensure proper tracking and compliance.
  • Support budgeting, budget-to-actual analysis, and financial forecasting.
  • Manage payroll accounting, payroll reconciliations, and related reporting.
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate directly with auditors during annual audits.
  • Support tax compliance requirements, including Form 990 preparation and charitable registrations.
  • Build and maintain accounting processes and internal controls for client engagements.
  • Partner with internal teams and client stakeholders to address evolving reporting and operational needs.
  • Train and support junior accounting staff where needed.
  • Ensure timely communication and responsiveness across internal teams and client engagements.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience , preferably in outsourced/client accounting.
  • Strong experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, ICAEW or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US nonprofit accounting principles is highly preferred.
  • Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, audit preparation, and compliance.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.


What We Offer

  • Salary: PKR 220,000 – 260,000/month (depending on experience and fit)

  • Shift Allowance: PKR 15,000/month
  • Retention Bonus: 10% of annualized salary on work anniversary
