The Clinical Analyst acts as a vital bridge between clinical and business operations at Amana Healthcare, ensuring that Hospital Information Systems such as Oracle Cerner and Fusion operate seamlessly to support workflows, enhance patient safety, and drive business growth. This role focuses on innovative system implementation, configuration, and testing, while maintaining data integrity and fostering continuous improvement. It also involves providing ongoing staff training and collaborating closely with clinical and IT teams to optimize Cerner electronic health record applications so they meet organizational needs and elevate patient care delivery.
Responsibilities

Configure and implement Cerner EHR applications tailored to clinical workflows; build, test, and deploy modules (CPOE, PharmNet, Supply Chain, Registration & Scheduling) and enhancements.

Conduct system testing and validation to ensure accuracy and performance.

Provide advanced end-user support; analyze and resolve complex system issues promptly.

Maintain system documentation and update configuration records.

Collaborate with healthcare providers and IT teams to optimize functionality and identify workflow improvements.

Support Cerner-related projects and upgrades as a technical resource.

Develop and deliver training sessions for clinical staff.

Create user guides and support materials for Cerner applications.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or related field; Cerner certification preferred.

Proven experience with Cerner Millennium (PowerChart, PharmNet, Supply Chain) or other Cerner EHR systems; strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Expertise in Cerner Millennium EHR configuration and support, including build and configuration for CPOE, PharmNet, Supply Chain, Registration & Scheduling; knowledge of solution integration and clinical workflow optimization.

Understanding of BMDI and Radiology (optional); proficiency in data integrity and system troubleshooting.
