Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with 8+ years of experience and a strong financial services background to define, own, and execute our hybrid cloud strategy. This is a hands-on senior role requiring deep expertise across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments, with proven experience delivering secure, compliant on-prem to cloud migrations in regulated, audit-driven environments.

The ideal candidate will be a technical authority who can design, implement, and optimize resilient cloud platforms while ensuring security, compliance, performance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, manage, and optimize hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
• Lead and execute on-premise to cloud migrations with minimal business risk
• Design secure cloud landing zones, networking, and identity integrations
• Ensure high availability, resilience, performance, and security
• Optimize cloud cost, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Lead lifecycle management, capacity planning, patching, and upgrades
• Act as a senior technical authority for infrastructure and cloud decisions
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption and automation
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern application delivery practices
• Work closely with security, compliance, and audit teams in regulated environments

Technical Skills & Expertise

• VMware virtualization platforms
• Enterprise networking and security
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – senior-level expertise required
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• CI/CD tools and automation
• Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, Python
• Monitoring and logging platforms

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of IT Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering experience
• Mandatory experience in the financial services industry
• Proven ownership of on-prem to cloud migrations
• Strong expertise in VMware and enterprise networking
• Hands-on, senior-level experience with GCP
• Experience working in regulated, audit-driven environments
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
