Senior Combat System Analyst

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Combat Systems Analyst to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop or write material that is mostly standardized for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications, concerned with work methods and procedures, installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment

  • Study and/or review drawings, sketches, parts lists, specifications, technical information and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedures and production sequence and detail, organizes material and completes writing assignments according to set standards and procedures to provide published documents

  • Conduct a ship check verification process to include drawing, procedures and technical information for Combat System related equipment

  • Update packages to reflect changes resulting from feedback reports, new system installations, system modifications, alterations, field/engineering changes and CORE updates and additions.

  • Access manufacturers' catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment, may have access to blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail

  • Organize material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology

  • May maintain records and files of work and revisions, may select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material, assist in laying out material for publication, and arrange for typing, duplication and distribution of material.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of Shipboard Combat Systems related and their support systems or equipment

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in tandem with AEGIS shipboard systems

  • Experience using technical manuals and drawings to operate and troubleshoot systems and equipment

  • Experience conducting planned maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS) technical documentation verification experience

Security Requirements:

  • US Citizenship required and must have an Interim Secret to start

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairwells, as well as climb through scuttles aboard ship

  • Ability to read equipment nameplate data and labels

  • Ability lift 40lbs over your head and carry 25lbs up and down ladders
