Senior Commercial Manager – Contracts & Claims

Location: Dubai, UAE | Travel: Occasional across Middle East, Africa & Asia

TSL are seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead Contracts Administration and Claims Management for major EPC and construction projects in the Energy & Infrastructure sectors . This is a senior, hands-on role within a boutique consultancy environment, requiring strong technical and commercial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Contracts & Claims Management:

• Lead contract administration, claims preparation and defence, variations, change management, and risk assessments.
• Interpret EPC contract terms, technical specifications, project scopes, schedules, and commercial requirements.
• Prepare and evaluate Quantum and Delay Claims , applying multiple EOT/delay assessment methodologies.
• Manage tender reviews, subcontract administration, and dispute resolution processes.
• Draft high-quality contractual correspondence, claims documents, and position papers.

Client Engagement & Business Growth:

• Act as a trusted commercial adviser for major EPC and construction clients.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Represent the company in meetings, workshops, and negotiations.

Leadership:

• Serve as Account/Focal Manager for projects.
• Mentor junior Commercial Managers and ensure delivery excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory:

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related).
• 20+ years in Contracts/Commercial/Claims roles within EPC or major construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC, EPC contracts, claims methodologies , and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written English and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience in Energy sector projects (Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG).

Preferred:

• Middle East project experience.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
