Senior Commissioning Engineer (Instrumentation and Control)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer – Instrumentation & Control to join our EPC project team in the Oil & Gas sector. The role will be responsible for leading and executing pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up activities for complex I&C systems, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, HSE requirements, and client standards.

YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Commissioning Engineer – Instrumentation and Control you will:

• Lead and coordinate I&C commissioning activities for EPC oil & gas projects from pre‑commissioning through start‑up.
• Review and approve commissioning procedures, test packs, and method statements.
• Execute and witness loop checks, functional testing, interlock testing, and system energization.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with Construction, Engineering, HSE, Operations, and Client teams.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes.
• Support punch‑list closure, system handover, and final documentation.
• Identify and resolve commissioning issues, providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Maintain strict adherence to HSE requirements during commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Act as the main I&C commissioning focal point with the Client and PMC.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 12+ years of experience in I&C commissioning within EPC Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong hands on experience with: DCS, PLC, ESD, F&G systems, Field instruments, analyzers, control valves, Cause & Effect, SIL, and logic testing
• ADNOC project experience (Onshore or Offshore) is a strong advantage.

Education / Training / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Control Engineering, Electrical, or related discipline.

Skills/Competencies

• Thorough knowledge of international standards (IEC, ISA, API).
• Excellent coordination, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in site‑based project environments.
