The Senior Commissioning Engineer is responsible for leading complex commissioning activities, ensuring the integration of systems, and optimizing performance in port and terminal service projects.
The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, test execution, and coordination with project stakeholders to achieve successful installation & commissioning outcomes.
The role will lead the WCS site team and coordinate with contractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
Deploy and manage site teams, project budgets, and schedules for WCS projects.
Plan, manage, and oversee site electrical works ensuring quality, safety, and budget adherence.
Lead electrical and commissioning efforts for critical systems, including testing and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams for commissioning execution.
Document commissioning activities and prepare technical reports.
Train and mentor junior engineers and ensure HSE compliance on site.
Assist with tenders, bids, budgets, and estimates.
Act as a WCS and DP World ambassador when engaging with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum 7+ years of commissioning experience in ports, terminals, or industrial facilities.
Experience commissioning port cranes, lifting equipment, and automation systems.
Hands-on experience with PLCs, Drives, SCADA, Siemens and ABB systems.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
