Description

Job Purpose:

designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining the organization’s communication and networking systems to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across healthcare facilities. The role supports critical healthcare operations by ensuring uninterrupted voice, data, and video communications, aligned with clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities.

Organizational Accountabilities:

  • Ensure work is performed based on approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering leading practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement
  • Ensure day-to-day activities are properly performed in line with policies and procedures
  • Follow-up on escalated cases/issues of subordinates to ensure they are closed efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Support the organization’s IT and digital transformation strategy.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance of communication and network systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi ICT regulations, cybersecurity policies, and healthcare accreditation standards.
  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency communication readiness.
  • Promote standardization, scalability, and continuous improvement of communication systems.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support clinical and operational communication needs.


Functional Accountabilities:

  • Network & Communication Infrastructure
  • Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network infrastructure.
  • Support and maintain IP telephony (VoIP), unified communications, video conferencing, and paging systems.
  • Ensure high availability and redundancy of network and communication services.

. System Operations & Support

  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve communication issues.
  • Perform configuration, upgrades, patching, and optimization of communication systems.
  • Information Management (HIM)
  • Clinical Users (Doctors, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals)
  • Administrative Users (Finance, HR, Supply Chain)
  • Quality and Patient Safety Department
  • Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Teams


Requirements

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience:


4–6 years of professional experience in IT application support in a healthcare setting.

Practical knowledge of hospital information systems (EMR, HIS), clinical workflows, and healthcare operations.

Familiarity with MOH, CBAHI, and JCI requirements for IT services in hospitals.

Experience using IT service management platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools).

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related field (required).

Skills:

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Proficient in supporting healthcare IT systems (EMR, HIS, ERP)

Good understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical applications

Effective communication skills in Arabic and English (written and verbal)

Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously and prioritize based on impact

Strong documentation and reporting abilities

Team collaboration with the ability to mentor junior staff
