Job Summary

The senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing electrical work at construction sites and ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations. The role involves managing the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, coordinating with other engineering disciplines - design, planning and material management, resolving any issues during the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate the Electrical design drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and execution, and follow up on site.
• Ensure compliance with codes, local and international standards, and project specifications.
• Supervise foundation, concrete, and structural works before and after implementation while ensuring the correctness of the execution.
• Site supervision & coordination.
• Monitoring and attendance with the contractors during the execution of the works.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams.
• Ensure timely completion of civil/structural works per schedule.
• Quality assurance & testing.
• Conduct inspections and issue NCRs when needed.
• Supervise testing and commissioning of civil/structural works.
• Verify as built drawings and operations & maintenance manual.
• Identify risks and propose corrective actions.
• Provide technical progress reports to the Project Sr. Manager.
• Support in resolving on site technical conflicts.
• Perform any other tasks assigned to him by the line manager within the scope of work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification, preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum of years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on site management.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems design, installation.
• Proven experience in project management and team supervision.
• Proven experience in liaising with project stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
