Senior Construction Manager

Organized in 1995, CVIN LLC (dba Vast Networks) is comprised of affiliates of several independent telephone companies located in Central and Northern California, offering a full line of network services to other telecommunications companies in the area. From business in various industries including agriculture, technology, manufacturing, to hospitals, and school districts, we offer a variety of network solutions that connect multiple locations with secure, redundant bandwidth and much more. Vast Networks is seeking an experienced and professional Senior Construction Manager to help lead and direct the statewide expansion of its fiber optic network.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Designing and managing the projects budget, scheduling crews on simultaneous projects.
• Ensuring timely construction material/equipment site call-out and delivery.
• Delegating and directing work to colleagues within their team.
• Setting targets, objectives, and responsibilities for all supervised staff.
• Managing contractors in addition to internal crews on all projects.
• Regularly reviewing timings, budgets, labor, risk, and project plans to ensure work stays on track on multiple projects at a time.
• Assessing and evaluating permits necessary for this type of construction.
• Supervising staff to guarantee work is being completed according to company standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a closely related field preferred.
• 5 – 10 years experience in the installation of underground utilities in the state.
• Previous management experience in underground utility construction.
• Professional engineering license with professional stamp is a plus!
• Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbal communication.
• Firm grasp of current underground installation technology.
• Strong organizational skills including time management and problem solving.

Position offers a competitive salarybetween $150,000 -$250,000 annually.
