About Capital Projects Consulting Practice

In a time of ever-evolving physical infrastructure needs, as well as historical levels of planned investment in infrastructure projects, Protiviti’s Capital Projects Consulting services helps the various government and private sector clients to better strategize, plan, deliver the projects and thereon efficiently operate the assets. We help our clients fully understand the risks inherent in managing their business to appropriately mitigate them and provide leading practice processes to make large capital decisions with confidence. We also help improve their institutional and project-level governance mechanisms, to enable enhanced decision making and operational effectiveness & efficiency.

We’re a team of sectoral enthusiasts with multi-dimensional skillsets (such as Engineering, Project-Management, Business Administration, Chartered Accountants) spread across UAE, KSA, Bahrain and Qatar. We’re now looking for candidates with prior experience with consulting firm in leading / delivering managing advisory assignments – including but not limited to Strategic advisory, Governance advisory, Operational Target Operating Model, Time and Cost optimization, Programme Management, Business Process Transformations and Change Management.


Role Requirements


Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • End to end delivery of advisory and assurance assignments with regional clients
  • Providing expertise and professional advice to the client organizations on effective implementation of Capital Projects program and deliver value from Capital projects
  • Identify the value we will be providing to clients.
  • Drive overall client satisfaction through effective coordination and communication.
  • Provide support to the Managers and Directors to understand the client's requirements and develop effective proposals and any other collateral required.
  • Build a strong network of contacts and leverage it for business development.
  • Prepare client presentations (for different target audiences - CXOs, Board of Directors, Audit Committees).


Desired Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with relevant discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Construction etc.) or Architecture.
  • Master's in Business Administration (Finance, Strategy, Operations, and General Management).
  • Experience of working in any of the Big 4 consulting firms in the region with focus on Capital Projects Advisory, including dispute resolution.
  • Candidate with Minimum 3 years of industry related / relevant consulting experience with in-depth understanding of the Capital Projects domain. Key areas of expertise expected include project management, cost estimation, quantity surveying, budgeting and accounting.
  • Understanding of project controls, internal audit , QA/QC, contract administration, procurement and construction / project risk management.
  • Exposure to project management and operations reviews, BPI and PMO.
  • Exposure to digital interventions in project management arena.
  • Exposure to diverse industries including Rail Transport Real Estate, Contracting, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas and industrial projects.
  • Must have strong local/regional community network and be an active member of trade and professional associations.
