Payments System – Systems Engineer
Summary:
As a Payment Systems - System Engineer, you will oversee the design and implementation of our complex Real-time Payment solutions. Your duties will include optimizing software application performance, installing updates, and performing debugging procedures.
Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain CMM (ACI-Issuer and ACI-Interchange) and BASE24-eps

Participate in testing and installing new software releases and application system upgrades
-
Analyze, monitor, and fine-tune the application system to achieve optimum performance levels
-
Work with internal and external teams and vendors to resolve issues with hardware and software
-
Work with application developers, vendors and internal infrastructure team to troubleshoot applications
-
Work on deployment of software updates/upgrades to various levels of our payment platform
-
Troubleshoot and analyze platform issues and message flows for our real-time payments
-
Participate in engineering and configuring technical solutions for applications, systems implementations and upgrades
-
Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability

Coordinate with engineering and QA teams to administer code migrations in production

Analyze Payments Data

Analyze and work on the different phases of implementation of network mandates

Investigate settlement and reconciliation issues
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

6 to 8 years of technology design, architecture, infrastructure experience or related experience
-
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting development and production environments
-
Experience in the payment industry preferably with ACI products (Base24-eps, ACI-Issuer, ACI-Interchange and PRM)
-
Coding skills (C++, Linux Shell scripting, Cobol and BASE24-eps Scripting)

Experience with SQL Databases such as PostgreSQL

- Familiarity with container orchestration, service mesh technologies, monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2).
- Experience supporting high-availablity and disaster recovery architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fintech or regulated enterprise environments.
