Position: Senior Consultant/ Medical Leader

India Eye Hospital in Greater Noida is a social enterprise committed to providing high-quality, affordable, and high-volume eye care. Currently, we operate a modern facility located inside Ansal Plaza Mall, next to Pari Chowk Metro Station in Greater Noida. Our current facility is NABH-accredited for eye care, ensuring adherence to recognized standards of safety and quality in healthcare delivery

To further expand access to care, especially in rural communities, India Eye Hospital operates Vision Centers in Surajpur and Rabupura. We plan to add eight more VCs within the next year. These centers provide essential eye care services closer to where people live.

India Eye Hospital is committed to eliminating unnecessary blindness in Uttar Pradesh by establishing a network of modern eye hospitals and research centers across the state. The hospital is guided by Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Darya Ganj, Delhi.

Operating in Greater Noida since 2023, we have already performed 1600 cataract surgeries using Phaco. We plan to conduct 2,800 cataract surgeries in the next year, using Phaco techniques.

Over the next three years, we are setting up a Super Specialty Eye Hospital with 15 Operating Theaters and 12 Clinics in Greater Noida, Knowledge Park 3 on a seven-acre plot. We are being guided by LAICO – Aravind Eye Care System, Dr. Shroff’s Eye Hospital, Darya Ganj, Delhi and leading eye surgeons from USA.

Job Description: The Medical Leader will provide strategic clinical leadership and oversee all aspects of patient care and medical operations. This role is crucial to our mission of scaling quality eye care and establishing India Eye Hospital as a clinical and ethical benchmark in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the hospital’s medical team, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure delivery of superior patient care.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to clinical protocols, quality assurance measures, and NABH accreditation standards.
  • Develop, execute, and review operational strategies to expand healthcare access, increase surgical and outpatient volumes, and drive excellence in medical outcomes.
  • Mentor and foster growth within the clinical workforce by implementing robust training modules and continuous professional development, in line with service excellence standards.
  • Coordinate and participate in complex case management, morbidity and mortality reviews, and clinical audits to uphold safety and patient outcome benchmarks.
  • Promote patient-centric care by facilitating communication, education, and outreach initiatives—including community screening and awareness programs.
  • Collaborate with administrative, nursing, and research leads to optimize hospital workflow, resource utilization, budget planning, and emergency preparedness.
  • Represent the hospital at local, state, and national forums; build relationships with peer institutions, regulatory bodies, and the broader healthcare community.
  • Ensure full compliance with ethical guidelines, statutory regulations, clinical governance requirements, and data confidentiality protocols.
  • Lead research, innovation, and continuous improvement efforts aligned with advancements in ophthalmology and hospital management.

Candidate Profile:

  • MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology (preferred) or MBBS with significant hospital leadership experience.
  • Minimum 8 years’ clinical experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role within a reputed eye hospital or multi-specialty facility.
  • Strong preferences for candidates who have worked at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi, or Aravind Eye Hospital, especially those with experience in their community hospitals.
  • Exposure to NABH-accredited environments and quality management systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop clinical teams.
  • Strong strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills; fluency in Hindi required.
  • Dedication to compassionate, ethical patient care and continuous learning.
  • Willingness to relocate to Noida/Greater Noida for optimal on-ground leadership

Experience: 8-12 years

Compensation: Depends on experience
