Senior Commercial Attorney (India)

Elevate is recruiting a Senior Commercial Attorney in our Contracts - Managed Services team. Senior Commercial Attorney will be working closely with our customer’s in-house legal department and their internal business partners. The attorney will provide deal support and participate on projects to improve our customer’s contractual infrastructure, workflow, and processes. The attorney will work independently on assigned matters but will also work collaboratively with other members of the Elevate team as well as our customer’s in house team.

Specifically, the Senior Commercial Attorney will

• Draft, review, redline, negotiate various contracts and other transactional documents.
• Review contracts against established standards and negotiate acceptable alternatives, working from templates and tools that you will be available to you.
• Compare contracts and highlight differences and similarities in template formats.
• Facilitate escalation of unresolved issues, approval and signature.
• Update or draft playbooks and templates, as needed.
• Research and analyse areas of commercial law as relevant to the customer’s business and prospects and prepare position statements for different audiences.
• Quickly learn CLM tools and adapt to new processes.

Experience

• 6+ years of legal practice with at least 4-6 years of experience with commercial transactional support, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly services and supply agreements, software license and SAAS agreements, procurement and other inbound agreements.
• Excellent track record in previous client support/customer service engagements.
• Must have worked in Customer facing contracts review and negotiation role.

Qualifications

• LL.B. (LL.M. is a plus)
