Position Overview:

The Senior Consultant / Financial Analyst position is a client facing position, entrusted with managing complex projects and assignments, often overseeing multiple deliverables, timelines, and tasks assigned to other staff, while maintaining positive client relationships. In addition to providing critical feedback to improve quality, defining and managing project scope, and ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget, Senior Consultants leverage strong accounting skills to support financial oversight and project controls. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and data analysis, enabling them to synthesize complex information, generate actionable insights, and drive data-informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, enabling them to communicate confidently with clients and colleagues about accounting topics. Their role includes effective meeting management, from agenda preparation to follow-up tracking, and leveraging organizational resources to maintain consistency and excellence. Senior Consultants operate with a high degree of independence but also collaborate with others to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Essential Functions:

• Manage complex projects and assignments, overseeing multiple deliverables and tasks assigned to other staff, ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and recommendations to clients and leadership.
• Analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and deliver tailored financial solutions.
• Utilize advanced Excel, Power Query, and data visualization tools to communicate insights.
• Utilize Power Query and advanced data analysis techniques to synthesize complex information, generate actional insights and support data driven decision making.
• Create high-quality client deliverables and synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Build strong client relationships and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Coordinate and support team members, providing feedback and maintaining high standards.

Requirements:

Required Competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities):

• Experience managing teams
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Hands-on experience with FP&A Software like Martus, Adeptive Planning, etc
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (Xlookups, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot).
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and part of a team
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Willingness to share skills, competencies, and knowledge with others

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Related Field
• Experience in financial analysis with a strong foundation in accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience delegating, reviewing and finalizing projects
• Power Query Experience

Preferred Experience

• Health care Experience
• Experience collaborating with accounting departments or supporting accounting functions
• Technical expertise applicable to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)
• Database experience/knowledge

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Able to travel as needed.
