We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Contracts & Tender Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing tendering and contractual activities for architectural and engineering consultancy projects, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic value in all submissions and agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate tender submissions for architectural and engineering consultancy projects, including technical proposals, BOQs, cost estimates, and commercial documentation.
  • Provide strategic advice to project directors and clients on contract formulation, risk management, procurement methods, and compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate consultancy agreements, sub-consultant contracts, and supplier engagements in alignment with FIDIC and company policies.
  • Lead bid evaluations, manage clarification meetings with clients and consultants, and prepare recommendations for award.
  • Maintain and update contract registers, ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Support project teams in managing variations, claims, extensions of time, and contract closeout activities.
  • Mentor and supervise junior contracts and tender engineers, ensuring consistency and quality in submissions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in degree Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in contract and tender management within architecture and engineering consultancy firms in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, FIDIC/NEC standard forms, and consultancy project procedures.
  • Proven expertise in managing multi-disciplinary design consultancy projects and high-value professional service contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, tendering tools, and contract management software; ERP experience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
