Senior Cost Analyst

Description

• Own the complete cost assurance framework, ensuring all company costs are accurately captured, categorized, and allocated across cost centers and revenue streams.
• Analyze cost trends, variances, and patterns, identifying inefficiencies, risks, leakages, and cost-saving opportunities to support financial decision-making.
• Build and maintain cost models that support budgeting, forecasting, product costing, and scenario analysis, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams to validate cost drivers, assess efficiency initiatives, and improve cost transparency company wide.
• Lead the monthly cost closing process, ensuring accurate cost adjustments, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations with full analytical commentary.
• Develop and enhance internal controls related to cost data, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and timely reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing cost analysis processes, enhancing automation, and implementing advanced analytics and reporting dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

Skills Knowledge & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cost accounting, cost control, FP&A, or financial analysis.
• CMA certification is strongly preferred (or equivalent such as ACCA/CIMA).
• Demonstrated experience building revenue models, dashboards, or financial frameworks from scratch.
• Strong technical skills: financial modeling, Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools, and ERP systems (Odoo experience is a strong advantage).
• Experience building or improving cost structures, cost models, or cost allocation frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to translate data into business insights.
• Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, product, and technical teams.
