Senior Cost Control Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Control Manager to lead all cost control activities for large-scale Oil & Gas and Power Plant projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring project cost control systems to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining high standards of reporting and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all project cost control functions from project initiation to close-out.
• Prepare, monitor, and analyze project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost reports.
• Monitor project performance against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Develop cost control procedures, systems, and reporting tools.
• Coordinate with project management, planning, procurement, engineering, and finance teams.
• Review contractor invoices, change orders, and variation claims.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, earned value analysis (EVA), and management presentations.
• Support project risk assessments and recommend cost mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project cost control, with at least 5 years in a managerial role .
• Mandatory experience in Oil & Gas and Power Plant/EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, SAP, Excel, and cost control software.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working on large EPC or industrial projects in the GCC is highly preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or equivalent certification is an advantage.
