Senior Cost Estimation Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and

equipment costs, ensuring alignment with project specifications and budgets.

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine cost

requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather and validate

project information for accurate estimations.

  • Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project

requirements and cost-effectiveness.

  • Conduct market research to stay updated on current pricing trends and availability of

construction materials and services.

  • Develop and maintain cost databases and estimation templates to improve accuracy and

efficiency in future projects.

  • Prepare and present cost analysis reports to senior management, providing insights into

project feasibility and financial impacts.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices in all cost

estimation activities.

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals, ensuring competitive and

accurate pricing strategies.

  • Develop project budgets based on drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQs, construction methods, and market rates.
  • 5–8 years in Construction Estimation, with at least 3–5 years specifically on the Developer or Contractor side.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or construction management.
