Job Title: Cost Management Professional – Pre-Contracts
Location: Bengaluru, India
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Cost Management professional with a solid foundation in pre-contract activities, capable of preparing, reviewing, and coordinating Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documentation, and technical specifications for construction projects. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between cost, design, and technical documentation—ensuring that project deliverables are commercially sound, technically accurate, and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead pre-contract cost management functions, including preparing detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents in coordination with design teams.
· Review project drawings and specifications to ensure scope completeness, quantity accuracy, and commercial consistency prior to tender release.
· Participate in value engineering exercises and cost optimization studies, offering recommendations on materials, systems, and construction methodologies.
· Develop or review technical specifications where required, ensuring alignment with budgetary targets and performance requirements.
· Coordinate with design consultants, PMC teams, and procurement specialists to clarify scope and resolve technical or commercial queries.
· Support bid evaluation and tender comparison to ensure technical-compliance and cost integrity.
· Maintain and update cost databases, benchmark pricing, and material specification references for future projects.
· Assist in preparing tender reports, scope matrices, and risk registers during the pre-contract stage.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
· 5–8 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or pre-contract roles within the construction or real estate industry.
· Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, cost planning, tendering procedures, and specification coordination.
· Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, or other quantity take-off and estimation tools.
· Sound knowledge of Indian Standard Method of Measurement (ISMM) and familiarity with international standards (NRM, CESMM, POMI) is preferred.
· Excellent coordination and documentation skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to interpret design intent and technical data for cost and specification alignment.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in PMC, real estate development, or consultancy environments.
· Familiarity with contract forms such as FIDIC or local standard contracts.
· Exposure to multidisciplinary projects including hospitality, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
· Strong communication skills for working with design and client teams across disciplines.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
