Role Purpose: To provide legal support by managing litigation and dispute matters, advising business units on legal issues, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies. The role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, coordinating with external counsel and government authorities, and proactively identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks to protect the organization’s interests.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
▪ Responsible for litigation and dispute resolution; advising and managing litigation matters; preparing cases where disputes have not been amicably resolved; liaising with applicable departments and external lawyers from the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department (LAD) to progress or defend cases.
▪ Providing legal advice, including reviewing and drafting contracts, notices, policies; making recommendations to comply with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
▪ Negotiate, draft, execute and generally advise on agreements and legal documents (such as notices, side letters, legal opinions).
▪ Conduct research and legal studies according to the requirements and directives of management and applicable departments; keeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect the organization.
▪ Identify and advise generally on management and mitigation of legal, regulatory and reputational risks, address corporate policy and compliance issues, proactively identify legal issues and provide appropriate practical solutions.
