About SellerPrism

SellerPrism is a fast-growing, performance-driven ecommerce company specializing in managing diverse brands on Amazon. We operate with a hands-on, execution-focused approach where data drives every decision. We value speed, ownership, deep marketplace expertise, and the ability to turn complex data into clear action.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Data Analyst who doesn't just build dashboards—you tell stories with data. You'll be the critical link between our data infrastructure and business strategy, transforming complex ecommerce metrics into insights that directly impact our P&L.

This isn't a role for someone who waits for requirements. We need a strategic thinker who can identify what questions we should be asking, proactively surface opportunities and risks, and translate data into recommendations that executives can act on immediately.

You'll own the analytics function for our portfolio of brands, working directly with leadership to optimize everything from advertising spend to inventory decisions to pricing strategy.

How You Will Make an Impact

Data Strategy & Business Intelligence

  • Own the end-to-end analytics strategy for our ecommerce operations, identifying KPIs that matter and building the frameworks to track them
  • Proactively analyze business performance across brands, channels, and campaigns—surfacing opportunities, anomalies, and risks before leadership asks
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations with quantified impact (e.g., "Shifting 15% of ad spend from Product A to Product B will increase ROAS by 22% based on...")
  • Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives including pricing optimization, inventory planning, advertising efficiency, and market expansion

Power BI Development & Visualization

  • Design and build high-impact Power BI dashboards that leadership actually uses daily—not just reports that sit unused
  • Develop and maintain shared semantic models using star schema design to ensure consistent, scalable reporting across the organization
  • Establish and enforce Power BI best practices including report design standards, performance optimization, and data governance
  • Create self-service analytics capabilities so stakeholders can explore data independently

Data Engineering & SQL Mastery

  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from BigQuery, joining multiple data sources to create comprehensive views
  • Build and maintain BigQuery views, tables, and optimized query structures to support analytical workflows
  • Own data quality and integrity—proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies across data sources
  • Partner with our technical team to improve data pipelines and ensure we're capturing the right data at the right granularity

Ecommerce Analytics Expertise

  • Deep-dive into advertising performance across campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and ASINs—identifying what's working, what's not, and why
  • Analyze customer behavior, conversion funnels, and lifetime value to optimize acquisition and retention strategies
  • Monitor competitive dynamics, pricing elasticity, and market trends to inform product and marketing strategy
  • Build cohort analyses, attribution models, and predictive forecasting to guide investment decisions

We're Looking for Someone Who Has

Required Experience & Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on data analysis experience, preferably in ecommerce, retail, DTC, or high-volume transactional environments (Amazon/marketplace experience is a major plus)
  • Expert-level Power BI skills including DAX, M/Power Query, data modeling, semantic layers, and performance optimization—you should be able to build enterprise-grade dashboards, not just basic reports
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with demonstrated ability to write complex queries involving multiple joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations on large datasets
  • Proven experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Strong business acumen—you understand ecommerce metrics (ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, conversion rate, LTV:CAC, etc.) and can connect data to business outcomes
  • Statistical and analytical rigor—comfortable with A/B testing, regression analysis, forecasting, and understanding statistical significance

What Sets You Apart

  • You've worked with Amazon Seller Central, advertising console data, or similar marketplace platforms
  • You have experience analyzing high-SKU-count product catalogs and multi-brand portfolios
  • You've built financial models or contributed to P&L analysis using data
  • You can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate vague business questions into specific analytical frameworks
  • You're comfortable with Python or R for advanced analytics (not required but valued)
  • You take ownership—if you see a data quality issue or missed opportunity, you fix it without being asked

Working Style We Value

  • Proactive, not reactive: You identify problems and opportunities before they're obvious
  • Speed + quality: You move fast but don't sacrifice accuracy or thoughtfulness
  • Communication clarity: Your insights are crisp, your recommendations are specific, and your visualizations are intuitive
  • Business-minded: You care about revenue, margin, and growth—not just clean data
  • Ownership mentality: This is your analytics function to build and improve

Why Join SellerPrism

  • High Impact Role: Your work directly influences millions in revenue and key strategic decisions
  • Leadership Access: Work directly with founders and executives—your insights shape company direction
  • Ownership & Autonomy: We hire experts and let them own their domain. You'll have the freedom to build what's needed
  • Growth Trajectory: Join a fast-scaling company where your role grows as we grow
  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere with flexible hours (core hours 9 AM - 5 PM CST)
  • Performance Culture: We reward results, not hours. Hit your numbers, drive impact, get recognized
