Senior Data and BI Analyst

We are looking to hire a Senior Data and BI Analyst with strong technical depth across enterprise reporting, cloud data platforms, and advanced analytics to support one of largest luxury hospitality organizations in Dubai.

This is a 12-month contract role which is renewable subject to performance and business requirements.

The role sits within the Data & Analytics function and reports directly to the Data Engineering Manager.

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Data and BI Analyst with hands-on expertise in SQL-driven analytics, cloud-based data environments, and enterprise reporting solutions. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, reports, and analytical models while ensuring data governance, accuracy, and system reliability.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level reports using SSRS, Oracle Hospitality Reporting & Analytics (RNA), and Power BI
• Perform advanced SQL-based data analysis , reconciliation, and variance analysis across financial and operational datasets
• Manage reporting schedules, automation, and data refresh processes across Oracle and Azure environments
• Support Oracle RNA subject areas, UAT testing, migration validation, and incident resolution
• Build and manage datasets for downstream analytics consumption by internal teams and external vendors (JBI, Medallia)
• Develop customer segmentation models using statistical and clustering techniques to support brand and loyalty strategies
• Manage Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Gen2 , and Power BI data sources, ensuring secure and performant access
• Support ETL/ELT workflows using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Logic Apps
• Monitor data quality, resolve data integrity issues, and implement validation controls
• Administer Power BI workspaces, datasets, and access control, along with SharePoint data repositories
• Conduct system, database, and Azure access audits, ensuring compliance with security and GDPR requirements
• Provide operational support, including system health checks and incident troubleshooting

Knowledge, skills & experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in a Senior Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar technical analytics role
• Strong expertise in SQL with experience handling large, complex datasets
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, Azure SQL Server, and cloud data platforms
• Advanced proficiency in SSRS, Oracle RNA, and Power BI
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Databricks , and distributed data processing
• Programming experience in Python, PySpark , and SQL-based analytics
• Solid understanding of data governance, access control, and GDPR compliance
• Experience supporting finance, hospitality, or multi-entity enterprise environments is highly preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills across reporting, data pipelines, and analytics platforms
