Senior Data Architect (Project-Based / Contractual)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect for a project-based engagement. The role will start upon project award and is limited to the project duration. The Senior Data Architect will lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, and data models, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data lake and data warehouse architectures for complex, large-scale projects.

• Develop robust data models, schemas, and structures to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.

• Define and enforce data governance, quality, and compliance standards across all data assets.

• Collaborate with business, analytics, and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable, efficient data solutions.

• Ensure integration and alignment with existing systems, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture.

• Provide guidance on data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance, including KSA-specific requirements.

• Mentor and support junior data engineers or architects during project execution.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years’ experience in data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise data platforms.

• Strong expertise in data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes.

• Proven experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and relational/non-relational databases.

• Solid understanding of data governance, master data management, and metadata management.

• Experience designing high-performance, scalable, and secure data architectures.

• Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of Saudi data privacy, regulatory, and enterprise standards is preferred.

Engagement Model

• Project-based / contractual role

• Engagement begins upon project award and continues for the project duration

• Full-time commitment during active project phases
