Senior Data Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a 12-month contract role based in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python and Shell scripting, with a proven background in building, optimizing, and supporting data pipelines in enterprise environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Write efficient, production-grade code using Python and Shell scripting
• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and platform teams to support analytics and reporting needs
• Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data quality and integrity
• Support deployment and automation across environments
• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation
• Solid experience with Shell scripting (Bash)
• Experience working with large datasets and data processing frameworks
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
