Senior Data Engineer

Now we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for our client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS.
  • Manage daily ETL operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Design and maintain Data Warehouse architecture using Star and Snowflake schemas.
  • Build and manage Fact and Dimension tables based on business reporting requirements.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, process, and manage large datasets.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support daily data operations and resolve data pipeline failures or production incidents.
  • Optimize data pipelines, queries, and warehouse performance.
  • Collaborate with BI, analytics, application, and business teams to understand data needs.
  • Document data models, ETL workflows, database structures, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience
    in data engineering, ETL development, or data warehouse management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SSIS for ETL pipeline development and operations.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouse design and management.
  • Strong experience in Star Schema and Snowflake Schema modeling.
  • Practical knowledge of Fact and Dimension modeling.
  • Strong experience with SQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of data validation, data quality checks, and reconciliation processes.
  • Ability to support daily production operations and handle incident management.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience with automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data security standards.
  • Experience working in enterprise-level data environments.
