Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake/dbt/Healthcare) - 100% Remote

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the design and delivery of modern data platforms in a healthcare environment. This role is focused on building scalable, cloud-native data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt, supporting enterprise analytics and data-driven decision making.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in modern ELT environments and has experience working with healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt
  • Build and optimize ELT workflows for large-scale data ingestion and transformation
  • Develop robust data models (dimensional, incremental, SCD patterns) to support analytics and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions
  • Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and governance across the data platform
  • Support CI/CD processes and automated testing within dbt and cloud environments

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL/ELT development
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, pipelines)
  • Proven experience building dbt-based ELT frameworks (dbt Core or dbt Cloud)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Python for data processing
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience building scalable data pipelines and supporting analytics platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with healthcare data (claims, EHR, interoperability, etc.)
  • Exposure to Epic data (Clarity, Caboodle) or healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • Experience with modern data tools such as Airflow, Fivetran, or similar orchestration/ingestion frameworks
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance (HIPAA)
