Senior Data Engineer (Teradata/ETL) (Secret Clearance Required)

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / ETL Developer to support the USTRANSCOM Integrated Data Environment & Global Transportation Network Convergence (IGC) Program. IGC provides enterprise data services and asset visibility supporting global logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations across the Department of Defense.

The selected candidate will design and maintain ETL pipelines, data integration workflows, and database solutions supporting mission-critical logistics systems. This role collaborates with developers and architects to deliver reliable and scalable data services across the IGC platform.

Requirements:

• Designs, develops, and maintains enterprise ETL processes and data integration pipelines supporting large-scale data environments.
• Develops and optimizes complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects used for data processing and analytics.
• Works with Teradata and Oracle database platforms to support large-scale data storage, transformation, and reporting.
• Develops and maintains ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or similar data integration tools.
• Creates and maintains automation scripts using Python and Bash to support data ingestion, transformation, and operational support activities.
• Supports development teams with database integration, object creation, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Participates in data modeling, schema design, and database performance tuning to ensure scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Supports code migration, data validation, and performance testing across development, test, and production environments.
• Collaborates with developers, architects, and system engineers to ensure reliable and efficient enterprise data architecture.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution

OR

Bachelor’s degree in any field plus one of the following certifications:

• Security+ (CompTIA).
• FITSP-D (Federal IT Security Professional – Developer)
• GCSA (GIAC Certified System Administrator)
• GISF (GIAC Information Security Fundamentals)
• SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

Minimum Experience: 10 years of professional experience supporting enterprise IT systems, data engineering, software development, database engineering, or data integration environments.

Experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL pipelines, database solutions, or large-scale data platforms.

A Master’s Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience may be substituted.

Minimum Clearance: DoD Secret

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience supporting USTRANSCOM IT systems or logistics platforms
• Experience working with Teradata enterprise data warehouse environments
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or other ETL/data integration tools
• Experience with RDBMS platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data environments or data pipelines
• Experience supporting federal or large enterprise data environments
