Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Operations & Analyst to own data validation, operational reporting, and business intelligence delivery for our US-based client platforms. This role sits at the intersection of data operations and analytics — ensuring data accuracy and integrity while translating complex datasets into actionable insights for business stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data operations, with strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL. Python scripting for data validation and automation is essential.

This is a data operations and analytics role focused on visualization, validation, and reporting. It is not suited for accounting or finance administration professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Data Validation & Quality Assurance

• Own end-to-end data validation: cross-source reconciliation, completeness checks, format validation, and business rule enforcement
• Design and maintain data quality scorecards and dashboards with automated alerting for anomalies and threshold breaches
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, working with engineering teams to identify root causes
• Define and document data validation rules, expected ranges, and business logic across client datasets
• Conduct regular audits of operational data flows and flag integrity issues proactively

Power BI & Dashboard Development

• Design, build, and maintain production Power BI reports and dashboards for US-based business stakeholders
• Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and complex KPI logic
• Build semantic models in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI with proper relationships, hierarchies, and row-level security
• Maintain and publish reports through deployment pipelines (dev/staging/prod)
• Collaborate with engineering to connect reports to Fabric Lakehouse, Azure SQL, and other data sources

Excel & Operational Reporting

• Build and maintain advanced Excel workbooks: dynamic pivot tables, Power Query connections, structured tables, and conditional formatting
• Develop Excel-based operational reports and reconciliation trackers for business operations teams
• Automate Excel workflows using formulas, named ranges, macros, and Power Query
• Create clear, business-ready data exports, summaries, and variance reports from cloud data sources
• Manage Excel templates used by operations teams for data submission and review

Microsoft Fabric & Azure Analytics

• Query and analyze data from Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse using SQL and Fabric notebooks
• Work with Dataflows Gen2 and Pipelines to understand data flows and support validation
• Use Fabric analytics tools and OneLake to access, review, and report on enterprise datasets
• Contribute to semantic model maintenance and report source layer definitions in Fabric

Python Scripting for Data Ops

• Write Python scripts for data validation automation, reconciliation, and operational reporting prep
• Use Pandas, openpyxl, xlsxwriter, requests, and SQLAlchemy for data processing and Excel output
• Build automated comparison scripts to validate pipeline output against source data
• Develop lightweight data profiling tools to surface quality issues in operational datasets

Stakeholder Reporting & Communication

• Translate complex data findings into clear, executive-ready summaries and visualizations
• Deliver weekly and monthly operational data reports to US-based business stakeholders
• Maintain data documentation: report inventories, metric definitions, KPI glossaries
• Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies, manage reporting tickets, and communicate delivery status

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data operations, or reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel: pivot tables, Power Query, structured tables, XLOOKUP, array formulas, conditional formatting
• Strong Power BI skills: report development, DAX measures, data model relationships, RLS
• Microsoft Fabric experience: Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models, Dataflows Gen2
• Intermediate SQL: queries for data extraction, joins, aggregations, and validation
• Python scripting for data operations: Pandas, openpyxl, requests
• Strong data validation mindset: cross-source reconciliation, anomaly investigation, quality documentation
• Excellent communication skills for working with US-based business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), AZ-900
• Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, or other cloud database platforms
• Power Automate or Logic Apps for reporting workflow automation
• US Healthcare analytics experience: HIPAA-compliant reporting, DME billing data, wound care KPIs, claims reconciliation, revenue cycle metrics — a strong advantage
• Financial analytics exposure: AR aging reports, revenue dashboards, operational cost reporting — useful context but this is not an accounting or finance professional role
• Experience with ERP/CRM data: Dynamics 365, Salesforce, NetSuite
• Based in Pakistan preferred for cross-timezone collaboration with US clients
