We combine modern Microsoft technologies with strategic business insights to help organizations optimize operations, improve financial visibility, and enhance decision-making.Our team operates fully remote with a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and financial analytics.This role includes building scalable cloud data pipelines, developing enterprise-grade data models, and delivering financial reporting dashboards and insights. The ideal candidate blends strong data engineering skills with a solid foundation in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, expense visibility, revenue insights, and executive reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineering &amp; Azure Fabric<ul><li>Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Fabric Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse/Warehouse.</li><li>Integrate and unify data from accounting systems, ERP platforms, CRM systems, APIs, and cloud databases.</li><li>Build semantic data models and subject-area data marts for finance, operations, and executive reporting.</li><li>Implement automated workflows for recurring data ingestion, transformation, and processing.</li><li>Maintain strong data quality processes, including data validation rules, exception handling, and pipeline monitoring.</li></ul>Financial Analytics &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for executive and financial teams (P&amp;L trends, forecasting, cost-center performance, margins, cash flow).</li><li>Build Excel-based models using advanced formulas, Power Query, Power Pivot, pivot tables, and scenario/what-if analysis.</li><li>Support core finance functions, including:</li><li>Budget vs. Actuals (BvA)</li><li>Forecasting &amp; trend modeling</li><li>Cash flow reporting</li><li>Expense analysis</li><li>Revenue insights &amp; profitability tracking</li><li>AR/AP visibility &amp; financial ratios</li><li>Present findings to executive leadership with clear interpretation of financial impacts and ROI.</li><li>Build KPI tracking for operational and financial performance (growth metrics, variance analysis, departmental performance).</li></ul>Governance, Security &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Maintain secure data handling practices across all Azure/Fabric workspaces.</li><li>Document pipelines, models, data dictionaries, and data lineage.</li><li>Ensure enterprise-level audit readiness across reporting and analytics environments.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>5+ years in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Financial Analytics, or BI roles.</li><li>Deep experience with:</li><li>Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Functions)</li><li>Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2)</li><li>Power BI (DAX, modeling, relationships, performance optimization)</li><li>Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, financial modeling, dashboards)</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting and finance concepts, including cash flow, revenue analysis, forecasting, and cost structures.</li><li>Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python.</li><li>Strong communication skills for working with business, finance, and executive teams.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with ERP/accounting tools (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle, etc.).</li><li>Certifications in Azure Data Engineering, Fabric Analytics, or Power BI.</li><li>Experience with API integrations and cloud-based reporting systems.</li><li>Experience in Agile or Scrum workflows.</li><li>Based in Pakistan or the Middle East region (preferred due to cross-time-zone collaboration).</li></ul>Contract Details<ul><li>Contract Type: 3-month renewable</li><li>Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 9:00 AM &ndash; 5:00 PM EST</li><li>Work Model: Fully remote</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>High-impact work across enterprise data, analytics, and financial environments.</li><li>Opportunity to build with Microsoft Fabric and the latest Azure Data &amp; AI technologies.</li><li>Direct exposure to US-based business and technology leadership.</li><li>Continuous learning and growth in cloud engineering and financial analysis.</li><li>A supportive, high-performance culture.</li></ul>How to ApplyPlease submit (email to techarchitectahussain@gmail.com and copy hiring@salesteq.us):<ul><li>Updated resume/CV</li><li>Portfolio with web and mobile app case studies</li><li>Brief cover letter explaining how you approach product, software-aware, and marketing-driven design</li></ul>SalesTeq.us is an equal opportunity employer.
