Senior Data Scientist – AI & Network Investment Optimization

Experience: 5–8 Years

Role Summary:

Lead AI/ML model development for Smart CAPEX, an investment optimization platform used by telecom operators for 4G/5G, fixed wireless, and fiber rollout planning. The role focuses on demand forecasting, network performance scoring, financial ROI/NPV modeling, and rollout prioritization, working closely with engineering, product, and client teams.

Key Responsibilities:

-Build predictive models for network congestion, customer segmentation, churn, and service adoption.

-Design CAPEX optimization, ranking, and scenario simulation models (MILP exposure is a plus).

-Develop scalable data pipelines using Scala/Spark, PySpark, and Python.

- Integrate and validate *network KPIs, subscriber, revenue, and geospatial data.

-Create *financial valuation models (ROI, NPV, payback period) and support client workshops.

Required Skills:

-Strong experience in Python, Spark/Scala, SQL.

-Hands-on with geospatial analytics (GIS, GeoPandas, coverage analysis).

-Solid understanding of telecom KPIs (RSRP, SINR, ARPU)and network planning.

-Excellent communication and stakeholder-facing skills.

Preferred:

-Time-series forecasting (Prophet, ARIMA, LSTM).

-Optimization tools (OR-Tools, Pyomo, Gurobi).

-Telecom operator or vendor experience.
