Position Summary

We are hiring a Senior Data Science Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data platforms and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python-based backend data systems, modern data warehousing, and high-performance data pipelines.

This role involves working closely with analytics and business teams to transform raw data into reliable datasets, reports, and dashboards that support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Develop backend data processing services using Python
• Integrate multiple data sources and automate data ingestion workflows
• Optimize database schemas, indexing, and complex SQL queries
• Manage and maintain data warehouse environments
• Support reporting, analytics, and dashboard development
• Monitor data pipelines and resolve performance or reliability issues
• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance standards are followed
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs

Technical Skills Required

Programming:

• Advanced Python development
• FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy

Databases:

• PostgreSQL
• MongoDB
• Query performance tuning and optimization

Data Warehousing:

• BigQuery or Snowflake
• Data modeling and schema design

Analytics & Reporting:

• Metabase or similar BI tools
• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)

Data Engineering:

• Complex ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Data integration and workflow automation

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Science Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on coding experience in Python
• Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets
• Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable data systems
• Experience with modern data warehouse platforms
• Solid understanding of data architecture and data lifecycle management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building REST APIs for data services
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience handling large-scale datasets and batch processing
• Understanding of data governance and validation practices
