Description
TeleSolv Consulting has a great opportunity for you to work with the Federal Government as a
Senior Data Scientist. This position is an on-site position in Washington, DC/Ashburn, VA.
The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for supporting the tasks below:

Conduct quantitative analysis using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques in the areas of procedural implementations and performance issues

Assists in creating analysis procedures

Assists in the definition of machine learning and data mining strategies
-
Assists in creating, deploying, maintaining and refining decision management models
-
Data Scientists specialize in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as, but not limited to exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instruction in the fields such as, but not limited to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, and security for military and civilian agencies
Minimum Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen

Active Top-Secret clearance
-
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, the sciences or related field of study

At least eight (8) years specialized experience; or ten (10) years general experience and three (3) years specialized experience. General experience is experience gained in an office setting. Specialized experience must include a combination of office and field experience in performing modeling and conducting analysis in a law enforcement environment.

Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
