Job Summary:
Wize Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Data Visualization & Power BI Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise business intelligence solutions. This role will serve as a key contributor in shaping how data is modeled, visualized, governed, and consumed across the organization and client environments.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Power BI, strong business intelligence and reporting experience, and the ability to work directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, high quality dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions. This individual will partner closely with data engineering resources and business teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, well structured, and aligned to decision making needs.
This role requires someone who is not just a report builder, but a strong BI professional who understands datasets, underlying database structures, BI pipelines, semantic layer design, performance optimization, user experience, governance, and enterprise reporting best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of hands on experience designing and delivering Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models in enterprise environments
Strong expertise in business intelligence, data visualization, KPI development, and reporting strategy
Advanced Power BI skills including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, relationships, measures, calculated columns, and performance tuning
Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, analyze, and validate data across relational databases and large datasets
Strong understanding of datasets, underlying database structures, and how source data supports reporting and analytics solutions
Experience working with BI pipelines, data refresh processes, and reporting dependencies across source systems and downstream dashboards
Experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and translating them into scalable BI solutions
Strong understanding of reporting best practices, data governance, usability, and dashboard design standards
Experience troubleshooting data, report, refresh, and performance issues across BI solutions
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business and leadership audiences

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting or partnering with data engineering teams on data pipelines, source data readiness, and reporting architecture
Experience with row level security, deployment pipelines, workspace management, gateway configuration, and refresh strategy in Power BI
Experience building executive dashboards, operational reporting, and self service reporting solutions
Experience mentoring junior team members and helping establish BI standards, reusable assets, and delivery best practices
Experience with Azure based data platforms, Azure SQL, or Microsoft Fabric is a plus

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Power BI dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visual analytics solutions
Build and optimize semantic models that support consistent, scalable, and high performing reporting across the business
Translate complex business requirements into intuitive and actionable visualizations for executives, operational teams, and client stakeholders
Partner with data engineering resources to ensure reporting data is structured, validated, and optimized for analytics use cases
Develop DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and data models that support meaningful KPI tracking and business analysis
Demonstrate a strong understanding of datasets, source system relationships, underlying databases, and BI pipeline dependencies that support reporting solutions
Improve report performance, data refresh reliability, and overall user experience across Power BI solutions
Establish and enforce BI development standards related to naming conventions, design consistency, documentation, governance, and quality control
Support data validation and reporting accuracy by identifying issues, troubleshooting root causes, and coordinating resolution across teams
Provide leadership and guidance to junior and mid level technical staff involved in reporting, analytics, and data visualization efforts
Document reporting logic, model structures, technical procedures, and development standards to support long term sustainability

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
Work closely with cross functional business and technical teams to align reporting capabilities with operational goals and strategic priorities
Identify opportunities to modernize reporting processes, reduce manual effort, and improve data accessibility and decision support
Contribute to the evolution of Wize Solutions business intelligence capabilities, standards, and delivery approach
Promote best practices in dashboard usability, report performance, governance, and stakeholder adoption
