Senior Data/AI Engineer with Snowflake and Cortex

• Position overview: We are looking for a Senior Data/AI Engineer with Snowflake and Cortex to join a dynamic team focused on revolutionizing how enterprises interact with their data through cutting-edge AI technologies. If you’re passionate about building impactful AI-driven products that empower businesses and drive innovation at scale, this is the role for you.
• You will own the end-to-end development of AI-powered features that enable seamless natural language interaction with complex enterprise data. Your work will span the entire AI engineering lifecycle — from designing and engineering prompts and tools, running rigorous evaluations and experiments, to deploying and optimizing models in production. Collaborating closely with a lean, high-performing team of modelers and infrastructure engineers, you will help shape the future of AI-driven data applications.

• Responsibilities: Own features end-to-end for next-level AI data applications, including agentic workflows, natural language to SQL translation on semantic layers, and advanced search functionality.
• Build enterprise-grade context engineering capabilities such as function calling, tool schema integration, guardrails, semantic model-aware prompting, and automated verification and repair mechanisms.
• Design and run rigorous evaluations and optimizations: Develop golden datasets, define rubrics and metrics, analyze system errors, and conduct experiments to continually improve model performance.
• Partner cross-functionally with product managers and infrastructure teams to translate customer challenges into innovative solutions and ensure smooth production deployment.
• Lead and mentor engineers to drive excellence in product development and foster a collaborative team culture.

• Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s or higher is a plus but not mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience delivering AI features in production environments.
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• (Optional but desirable) Experience with text-to-SQL technologies, data modeling, semantic layers, retrieval systems, and data analysis.
