Senior Database Administrator II

  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems and associated software
  • Support in performing advanced database administration tasks, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and database optimization
  • Develop and enforce database security policies and procedures, ensuring data privacy and compliance
  • Lead database-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related initiatives
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity, including high availability and disaster recovery
  • Analyze and resolve complex database issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Stay updated with emerging database technologies and industry best practices
  • Create and maintain database documentation and standards

Requirements

  • Atleast 4-5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on a specific DBMS (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
  • Well versed in SQL Server Performance tuning & troubleshooting using DMVS, Extended Events, Profiling, Wait Statistics etc
  • Good understanding of the database underlying infrastructure such as Storage, Networking components and Server Hardware
  • Self-motivated, quick learner and a responsive team player with ability to work under pressure and deliver quality outcomes
  • Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivale
