We are currently searching for a new, full-time member for our team for the position of:Senior Database Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale relational databases and data warehouses.
  • Ensure data quality, security, integration, and performance optimization across all database environments.
  • Provide leadership in database architecture and governance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain relational databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
  • Develop database models, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and performance tuning strategies.
  • Oversee database migration, transformation, and integration of new data sources.
  • Implement and enforce data governance, security controls, and backup/recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with analysts and developers to support automated reporting and advanced analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security standards and data management best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to system analysts and junior staff on database-related activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 15 years or more of federal experience supporting and understanding agency policies and workflows.
  • Demonstrated expertise with database management systems, including SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining relational databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis, Data Modeling, and Data Integration, including familiarity with tools like ERwin or similar data modeling software.
  • Experience with Data Governance frameworks and practices to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Experience developing stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application development.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of federal security standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP) as applicable to database design and implementation.
